Good job in putting up this site. I recognize several names in the guest book. I found an old photo of some of the nukes of the Drum and a visiting Secretary of the Navy ( I think). All I remember is cleaning the engine room from top to bottom for days efore he arrived.

Super page! Just happened to surf upon it looking up my old Sub Base in Key West. Very professionally done. Keep up the great job. Any shipmates out there members of U.S. Submarine Veterans, Inc.? I am, and woiuld highly recommend joining this great fr ternal organization; have met shipmates at national metings that I have not seen since 1964! Last October became Honorary Submariner by diving on the USS Henry M. Jackson, SSBN 730. In 1995 got replica of USS M. G. VALLEJO for efforts to save her. - from crew. Took delivery of Boat's sail and all control room panels. Also, they sent three periscopes less handles and faceplates. Anyone got time to work with vendor who may have replacements (prob. were stolen)

Surved on the Drum 1974-76 ETR3,ETR2(SS). Qualified on the Drum during westpac of '75. What ever happened to all that Olympia beer at Andy's Hut any way? I am one of the hundreds of civilians working at Mare Island when the USS Drum was under construction. I was lucky enough to have been invited to the commissioning ceremony and dinner.
